We started our day with the breakfast buffet at the hotel restaurant. Below is just a small sampling of the food selections:
Our first stop on our last day in Jeju was 주상절리대. These unique column-shaped volcanic rock formations were created naturally. A boardwalk along the water gives some great views and photo ops.
Our second stop was Camellia Hill. This arboretum is host to many different types of plants and trees. There are plenty of walking routes and photo opportunities. It was really beautiful and I recommend you check it out:
A late lunch was had at 봉you카페. It is known for its huge pork cutlet!
After lunch was 소인국테마파크. It hosts scale models of many world landmarks and UNESCO world heritage sites. The grounds could use some TLC but other than that the scale models were well done. It is located near other Jeju tourist sites as well.
After sightseeing we headed back to the hotel to pick up our backs. After a bus ride to the airport we checked in to explore the duty-free shops. Jeju is special in that even Korean citizens can buy duty-free goods and take them back to the mainland. Our flight was delayed by about 45 minutes which wouldn't really been a problem but we later found out that Gimpo airport closes at a certain time. Luckily, the delay did not affect our arrival time and we didn't have to divert to Incheon airport.
This concludes my Jeju trip! Thanks for reading! Up next will be a series of posts chronicling my trip to Tokyo, Japan!
