San Diego: Arrival
Day 1:
It was raining when I arrived in San Diego. I here this place has the most perfect weather anywhere in the country and of course it rains. I was exhausted from getting up before the sun to leave from Baltimore to get to San Diego. My flight was also delayed which didn't help. I normally have trouble sleeping on planes except for when we are going from the gate to the runway or waiting to take off. I ended up falling asleep and pretty much sleeping through the take off. I awoke sometime during the flight with something warm on my shoulder. It was the passenger next to me, resting their head on me.
Upon arriving in San Diego, I found my way to the rental car shuttles. My rental car shuttle driver was very friendly. I got a Kia Forte which was great because I was hoping for a Korean car. I really like it for what it's worth. It has Bluetooth, satellite radio, 3.5mm port, USB port, a lot of other bells and whistles that you normally wouldn't expect. It also had some sort of "Eco" mode which I never figured out. Sometimes it was on and sometimes it just flickered off...not sure
I was told to visit In-n-Out Burger while in California so I headed over to one around 2pm (late lunch I know). This place was still packed at this late afternoon hour. I ordered a #2 with the burger animal style. I finally got my food and honestly wasn't all that impressed. The fries could have been better and the burger was average....meh
I just lounged around the rest of the day and got Pei Wei for dinner.
